The brutal killing of a recent University of Benin graduate, Glory Adekolure, in Iyowa Community, Benin City, Edo State, has prompted a passionate call for justice from her brother.
Glory’s brother, who tweets as @softbaba24 on X, appealed to Nigerians, on Monday, to assist in uncovering the truth behind his sister’s untimely death.
Through his post, @softbaba24 recounted the devastating events, stating, “Justice for my younger sister Adekolure Idowu Glory, who was murdered in Iyowa Community, Benin, Edo state on her way back from school (UNIBEN). She went for her clearance and her lifeless body was found near our mother’s house.
“Her body has been deposited at UBTH mortuary on the 15th of June 2024 with the assistance of Nigerian police from Ekiadolor division. She was assaulted and killed.
“Please Nigerians, come to my rescue. The help I need now is for my innocent sister. My mum can’t bear this.”
“Please everyone should help me to retweet and tag those that can help me get justice.”
Responding to queries about the incident’s timeline, @softbaba24 clarified, “No, she was almost home because there’s no way they would have dropped her body in a street so close to my mum’s house.”
The tragic loss sparked an outpouring of sympathy and outrage across social media platforms, with users expressing condolences and demanding swift action from authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
. The public is urged to support @softbaba24’s campaign by sharing information that could assist in the investigation and ensure that Glory’s memory is honoured with justice.
