The Lagos State Government apprehended a truck driver dumping waste indiscriminately along popular Ikorodu Road, on Wednesday. The driver, along with two others, were taken into custody and now faces prosecution.
The truck involved has been impounded and transported to LAWMA’s office for further investigation. The state Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, disclosed the arrests and subsequent actions taken.
“A truck driver was arrested this afternoon while dumping waste indiscriminately on the roadside along Ikorodu road,” Wahab reported via his official Twitter account. “The driver and 2 other persons were also arrested and have been taken to the Taskforce office at Oshodi for prosecution.”
