According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel, Khadija Umar, who is believed to be the mastermind, was responsible for scouting out residential areas to identify potential targets.
Afterwards, she would monitor these areas, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Once she determined that a location was suitable for a break-in, she would enlist the help of her sons and two other suspects who are currently at large.
Following the arrests, the police recovered several items suspected to have been stolen from various homes. The recovered items include:

These items were reportedly found in the possession of the suspects and are believed to be part of their stolen goods.
Nansel confirmed the recovery of these items and noted that they would be used as evidence in the ongoing investigation.
“Consequently, two television sets, two 6×6 mattresses, a gas cooker and 12kg cylinder, a standing fan, a GoTv decoder, cooking pots, an electric jug, a refrigerator, and solar panels suspected to have been stolen items were recovered from the suspect as exhibits,” Nansel said.
