The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced a formal investigation into serious bribery allegations made by social media star Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, ordered the investigation following claims that Bobrisky paid N15 million to EFCC officers to drop money laundering charges against him.

In a video that has since gone viral, Bobrisky, an ex-convict, alleged that unnamed EFCC officials accepted this large sum to benefit him.

The video was circulated by controversial activist Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan.
