Ayodele Fadairo, widely known as Aunty Ayo Lalagbon, has passed away.

The news was confirmed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on his Facebook page.

“Aunty Ayo” retired as an Assistant Commissioner of Police in 2010.

She had a notable career, serving under several prominent leaders, including the late Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao Akala.

Fadairo worked in various capacities, gaining respect and admiration from colleagues and the public alike.

She became popular after music legend Orlando Owo mentioned her in one of his blockburster albums, releaed after his spell in detention.

In a 2010 interview with the Nigerian Voice, Fadairo shared a touching story about her connection with Nigerian music legend Orlando Owo.

“When I learned that he was in Alagbon, I was eager to meet him,” Fadairo recalled.

She became a source of support for him, encouraging him to overcome his struggles with smoking and drugs.

“I happened to be a lover of his music even before I met him. His music inspires me a lot,” she added.

Fadairo’s compassionate nature shone through as she described her efforts to help Orlando during his darkest days.

“I would counsel him on why he had to leave drugs and all that. I was of little assistance to him during his stay,” she stated.
